Q : I can't wait! When do we get our photos?

I always send a highlight gallery the week after because I'm just as excited as you to share them. For weddings, I offer a 3 month delivery deadline. More often than not, you won't have to wait that long, but it all depends on how many photos we have taken. I edit everything myself. I sharpen, color correct, crop, and remove - yes - LOTS of photoshop so that you get clean memories of your day without all the unnecessary clutter. EXIT signs and street stains are my biggest pet peeve! Portraits are delivered within 4-6 weeks.

Q : How can you help us feel less awkward in front of the camera?

Believe me when I tell you EVERYONE feels this way. The only way to even begin to feel natural is to find a photographer you trust. I'm a firm believer that anyone, YES ANYONE, can look immaculate in a photo. Any photographer can pose, but getting to know your clients and understanding what makes them truly smile and feel comfortable is a directing talent that, in my opinion, can't exactly be explained. I feed off of your energy. I'm ridiculously awkward myself, so togother we'll find what works best for you.

Q : Do you offer payment plans? 

YES! For weddings, you pay a retainer of 30% and then the remainder gets split into monthly installment payments charged on the 1st of each month. For portraits, 50% is due up front to book, and the remainder is due 2 days prior to the session. You are always welcome to pay everything up front or create a payment plan that works best with your schedule as well. Let's talk it out! :)

Q : Do you offer mini-sessions or discounts?

I truly feel like photography is an investment. You are trusting someone to capture a life moment, big or small, that you can look back on and share for decades. For that reason, I invest my time and talents in you. It's more important for me to spend time with you to get photos you can actually feel when you look back on them. And let's face it, sometimes the littles need some down time or snack breaks in between. (Sometimes the parents do too. ;) )
I don't always offer discounts, but sometimes during the holidays, you'll find a gift idea on my socials - keep any eye out!

Q : What services do you offer?

I specialize in weddings and lifestyle/family sessions. However, more recently, I have been covering events such as rehearsals, corporate parties, and showers. I LOVE engagement sessions and honestly any kind of portrait session where we don't have a time limit and we can have fun, enjoy the day, and take as many photos as we want. Family sessions are also my favorite. I love to goof off with the kids and get those silly smiles in between the pretty posed family portraits. 

Q : How long have you been a photographer?

Starting in May of 2024, I will be entering my 15th year as a photographer. Crazy, right?! It honestly still feels like I started this all yesterday. I started taking family portraits and covered my first wedding right after I graduated with my digital photography degree from Harrington College of Design in Chicago. I've worked solo and with a lot of other amazing photographers. In fact, some of them 2nd shoot for me sometimes too! 15 years seems like a long time, but in this job, you are never the best or know more than the next. I am constantly learning and improving and meeting new people, traveling to new places, and covering different cultural events that helps me grow more as a human being as well.

LOTS of rich color and bold contrast is what I love.  I feed off of your energy and light leads me.  I only want to enhance the colors of your day, never take away.  While I will of course guide you to into posing so you look your best, my only goal is to capture your genuine reactions in between it all. 
My hope is that you will leave with the feeling that you had fun and could do the same thing over and over.
